Two Worlds Conversation

In repsonse to the woman who wrote:

" People of double standards never experience happiness .."

and the man who replied with...

"Yep! They are living in the dichotomy of 2 worlds, vacillating back and forth and never finding true "Oneness." It's the havoc they bring into others lives that is the problem. What is on the inside (turmoil) shows up on the outside, (havoc). This "journey" to inner peace takes a lot of work. No one wants to do the work. Happiness is a terrible thing to waste once you've found yourself."

I said..

"To live in one world alone is very hard. How do we know what light is, if we don't know about the dark? never say never. I continuously find happiness after suffering, and sometimes I think its necessary to live in both worlds, atleast to d...iscover which world we desire to be in more. Although I do question myself..Is it false to think that you will always need the opposition in order to know your rightful place?. I would like to think of oneness as being a continous beautiful struggle. Perhaps if I was confined far away in some remote sanctuary, away from the filth that surrounds me everyday in this city, It would be easier to live in just one world, but that's not the environment i'm surrounded by. I have also found the righteous path to be a lonely path. Practicing walking meditations by myself while others were driving to bars and liquor marts. It takes a strong mind to not be affected by other peoples influences. Opposites attract. we're all magnetic....eye think?"

What do you think?

I think it's important to live in more than one world, to always question and challenge ourselves, because the world is huge and is always changing. I don't believe "Oneness" exists by itself in the first place. Isn't it happiness when a person feels balanced in their life from using different ideas learned from many experiences? Happiness is not constant but I don't think it's supposed to be, since people are always changing.
