The goal of the Festival is to promote the use of storytelling for peacebuilding and community-building, to promote student voice as a critical skill for global citizenship and for protecting human rights, and to nurture the art of storytelling in Winnipeg.
The Festival is free to the public.
More than 40 storytellers from the region, as well as storytellers from across Canada and other parts of the world are featured. This is the largest festival of its kind in Canada, and the only annual Storytelling Festival in the world dedicated to storytelling and peacebuilding.
