Now heres a little story
that must be told
about a gifted young child
who was always told
that he would never
make it to the top of the honour roll
or for that matter
even dare come close
everybody would joke
and make fun of the young kid
saying things like
"its just a matter of time
before he calls it quits"
In the race to get the first A plus
he'd finish last
get mad
and feel so tempted to skip class
but good for him...
because he never did
instead he kept his head
in the books
doing whatever he could
while all his so called friends
were up to no good
he kept pushing hard
pushing toward the awards
pushing far passed the
point of falling apart
for years
through many stressful tears
he worked like a dog
now the tables have turned
and hes on top of the charts
as the big man In charge
who handles YOUR marks
now thats heart
it goes F for lack of Focus
and all the Failed attempts
D for Direction towards Development
C for getting Closer to getting it Correct
B for anyBody who gives it their best
A is for Aint nothing better
than Aiming All the way
to the top of the class
with Above Average grades
